Overview
The Alabama Correctional Industries (ACI) Print Plant offers a variety of printing services and products. It operates within the Alabama Department of Corrections and provides inmates with opportunities to develop valuable job skills in the printing industry. The ACI Print Plant produces a wide range of printed materials. Inmates working in the ACI Print Plant gain hands-on experience with modern printing equipment and production processes, preparing them for employment after release.

| 2. Understand the Project | A Sales Rep. will discuss the details of the project, from type of printing, paper selection, quantity, bindings and finishing types. |
| 3. Quote Provided | The Quote will include your Billing and Shipping information to ensure everything on the order is correct. |
| 4. Place Order | By replying “APPROVED” to the quote email and providing a Purchase Order Number if required by your agency. |
| 5. Digital Proof | You will receive a digital prepress proof for your order. Just reply with “APPROVED” if everything is correct. |
| 6. Production | Order gets scheduled and goes into production - lead time will vary depending upon the project but is typically around 5- 15 working days. |
| 7. Shipping | Order will be packaged and shipped using local delivery or UPS. |
Design
Our graphics design team is ready to assist you from concept to finished product. No artwork, no problem, just give us a starting point and we can take care of just about any project.
Artwork
We accept finished art as a print ready PDF (and in some cases the working files with all links and document fonts packaged) following these specifications:
- Photos and Illustration resolution should be 300dpi
- All colors converted to CMYK unless printing in PMS (no RGB, LAB etc)
- Fonts should be embedded or outlined
- Crop & bleed marks included
- Minimum 1/8” bleed (1/4” for booklets)
